Peter Ouma: “Despair is a sin,” - shouldn't baby grow? While I worry that, in some cases, democracy in Kenya is just gone. I fear that some of the current crop of Kakistocrats ~ a government / organization that is ruled by the most unprincipled, unethical and unqualified managers and leaders ~ are un-seatable. So what to do? We must challenge ANY leadership that does not want [or expect] to be held accountable. In so doing we are “draining the swamp” Today’s “biggest single question” is where to get leaders who will lead us out of the swamp? We require a genuine revolution of values. Which MEANS in the final analysis that our loyalties must be to our fellow citizens as we seek GENUINE and responsible leadership. In our actions, the behavior we exhibit, in our everyday lives, the real work of running communities and organizations…. of running the country, MUST BE genuine and geared towards improving the quality of life OF OUR PEOPLE.
